Hey, it's Leah!

I'm Leah Bugg, Licensed and Board Certified Classical Homeopath, and the person behind Rubric Wise.

Six years in. Still obsessed. Still humbled by a good case.

I trained at the Academy of Homeopathy Education with 500 hours of didactic training and nearly 700 hours of clinical training, plus supervised case work that taught me how to hold and analyze a case, support my clients, and to work well with the repertory.

I didn't just gain knowledge. I got a clear picture of where students get stuck. Because I got stuck there too.

I've stared at a page of Kent wondering if I was even in the right chapter. I've second-guessed a perfectly good rubric because the language felt foreign. I've sat with my case notes wondering where to begin and didn't want to continually bug my supervisor just because I couldn't find a rubric. What started out feeling challenging slowly became clear, with time and the right tools.

That's the journey. Rubric Wise is here to walk it with you.

HOW IT ALL STARTED...

Rubric Wise was created to meet a gap I saw repeatedly: students overwhelmed by repertory language, and practitioners working in isolation, unsure how to translate real human stories into accurate rubrics.

At its core, Rubric Wise is a learning space for homeopathy students, practitioners and home-prescribers who want clarity, confidence, and skill in repertory and case work. It is also a supportive resource for those who want to strengthen their use of homeopathy tools and think more clearly through cases.

This is not about shortcuts. It is about learning how to observe, interpret, and apply symptom language with intention, so we can serve the people who rely on us with greater precision and care.

Join me as we work through repertory concepts, case translation, and classical thinking, one rubric at a time.

FUN FACTS FUN FUN FACTS

I've been studying homeopathy consistently since 2019 but the best learning has come from cases that went well and cases that didn't go so well.

I came to the US on a "two year plan" in 2013. Still here! I'm a dual British-American citizen and I love our life in Southern California.

I am a mom to two littles who are named after some of our favorite places to visit in the US. We love traveling and especially visiting the National Parks.

Rubric Wise started because I kept talking to students who were struggling through the repertory and trying to master repertory tools. I knew that feeling and I knew it didn't have to stay that way.

I began my learning with Kent's repertory and while I love exploring other repertories, including modern repertories, I am grateful I built a solid classical foundation with Kent's work.

Everything I post to my social media, I take time to read and study first. I initially set up Rubric Wise as a personal commitment to my ongoing study and to hold myself accountable. I have loved the journey of discovery.

I'd love to get to know you too!

REPERTORY FOUNDATIONS

The repertory stops feeling like a barrier the moment someone explains it properly. Repertory Foundations covers the history, structure, and language of the homeopathic repertory, in plain language, without the overwhelm.

What is a rubric? Why are symptoms written backwards? How do you get from what you are observing to the remedy that fits? Whether you are a home prescriber finding your feet, or a student ready to go deeper, this guide gives you the foundation to use the repertory with confidence.
